Hosting
This website is hosted as a static site by Deploybase (TwanIT, Netherlands). The pages are built on servers of Scaleway SAS in Paris (France) and delivered through the Bunny.net content delivery network (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia). All three providers are based in the European Union.
When you visit the website, these servers process technically necessary access data: IP address, date and time, requested page, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system, and the previously visited page. The data serves solely the secure and stable operation of the website and is deleted automatically after a short time. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
No cookies, no third-party services
This website sets no cookies and loads no third-party content without your click. Fonts, images and the map image are stored on our own server; there are no advertising or tracking services.
Statistics
To measure reach we use the open-source software Umami on a server we operate in the EU (analytics.georgesbar.at). Umami sets no cookies, stores no full IP addresses and creates no user profiles. It records requested pages, referring pages, country, browser and device type in anonymised form. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in evaluating the use of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Enquiries by email and phone
When you contact us by email or phone, we process the details you provide – name, contact details, requested date, occasion, number of guests and message – to answer your enquiry and prepare a booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We delete the data once your enquiry is closed. If a booking is made, we keep the records for the statutory retention period (seven years under § 132 BAO).
YouTube video (two-click embed)
We show Georg Danzer’s song as a video from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When the page opens you see only a preview image from our own server; no connection to YouTube is made. Only when you click the preview is the player loaded in the privacy-enhanced mode from youtube-nocookie.com. At that point your IP address and details about your browser are transferred to Google, possibly to servers in the USA, and Google may set its own cookies; Google’s privacy policy applies (policies.google.com/privacy). The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); it applies to that page view only. Without JavaScript the video is not embedded; a link to YouTube takes its place.
External links
The directions link leads to an external map service, the Instagram link to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. You leave our website only when you click; from then on the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. Without your click no data is transferred to these providers.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
