Your own bar, self-catered
Classic bar fit-out with counter, large fridge, extra drinks fridge and glass washer. Glasses and bar tools are provided – you only bring the drinks.
Sound in every room
One system, centrally controlled: the Bar and the Salon share the sound. Play your playlist from your phone or plug in a DJ or instruments.
Terrace & Lounge
Eat, sit and linger in the lounge outdoors – until 10 pm, then the evening continues inside.
Separate washrooms
Ladies’ and gents’ washrooms with Art Nouveau details, cloakroom right by the entrance.
Screen & conference table
Large screen for presentations, conference seating for 10 – for seminars and meetings.
Courtyard parking
Parking in the courtyard on request, €20 per car. By public transport: 3 minutes from U4 Margaretengürtel.

Georg Danzer grew up here
“Gaudenzdorfer Gürtel 47” – the address is a song, and this is the house.
From 1946 to 1965 Georg Danzer lived on the first floor of this house, just left of the front door. Since 7 October 2026, his 80th birthday, a memorial plaque at the entrance commemorates him – and the bar on the ground floor bears his name: George’s Bar.

Frequently asked questions
Can I bring my own drinks and food?
Yes – George’s Bar is a self-catered space hire. The bar and fridges are handed over empty; glasses and full bar equipment are provided. Choose any caterer you like.
How late can we party?
The evening package runs from 5 pm until 10 am the next day – indoors you can celebrate as long as you like. From 10 pm please be considerate: the terrace and lounge close and windows and doors stay shut (house rules & statutory quiet hours).
How many guests fit in?
Standing reception up to 50, seated dinner up to 35, seminars for 10 to 25, conference table for 10.
Can I hire just one room?
No. You always get the whole bar – both rooms, terrace, cloakroom and washrooms. Nobody else is around.
How does the music work?
One sound system covers the Bar and the Salon, centrally controlled. Plug in a playlist from your phone, a DJ deck, microphone or instruments – DJ equipment is yours to bring.
Is there parking?
In the courtyard on request, €20 per car. By public transport you are 3 minutes from U4 Margaretengürtel.
Is there a bartender or service?
No, the bar comes without staff. A list of recommended bartenders is available on request.
Can I view the bar beforehand?
Of course – send us a preferred date and we’ll show you the Bar, the Salon and the terrace.
How does the handover work?
In person with a short briefing – or as self check-in: pay the hire and deposit in advance, receive access, get started. Final cleaning is included; the deposit is returned after handback.
